The Senior Center was established in 1970 to serve the elderly of residents of the Nome area. It offers health care programs for the frail, elderly and the disabled.

Special activities range from community functions to shopping, berry picking and sightseeing on the tundra. Participants receive assistance with activities of normal daily life.
